Rachel joined Smith Hanley Associates in 2000 after a successful career in technical writing and training. It was a natural transition when she began recruiting information technology professionals. Her current concentration has expanded to include statisticians, quantitative analysts, direct marketing and market research professionals within the financial services and credit industry. After 10 years recruiting within the credit industry, her in-depth understanding of this sector allows her to quickly interpret her clients’ needs into a pipeline of qualified candidates. Sean Murphy Midwest/Southeast/Southwest

Sean joined Smith Hanley in January 2011. Previously Sean worked as a lead recruiter specializing in the placement of entry level candidates for one of the premier actuarial recruiting firms. Sean’s knowledge of the statistical and analytical insurance world has allowed him an easy transition to recruiting in credit analytics and risk management. Sean’s recruiting knowledge, human resources expertise and quantitative insight are now being leveraged to identify qualified candidates for specific credit roles. Sean considers his communications skills, his sense of urgency and initiative as critical strengths for building solid relationships in this tight knit industry. Sean holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Illinois Chicago.

Peg Hoerres Marketing

Peg specializes in the recruitment of direct marketing and internet marketing professionals. Having held position(s) in bank/credit marketing, Peg’s hands on experience is a valuable asset to her clients. In total, Peg brings to Smith Hanley more than 20 years of direct marketing experience and nearly 10 years of internet marketing experience.

Prior to joining Smith Hanley, Peg held direct marketing positions at Webster Financial, Acxiom/Direct Media, and NBC. Her vast industry experience is now being leveraged, allowing her to adeptly “match” each candidate with an appropriate role.
