Not familiar with NEMOA? The acronym stands for the National Etailing and Mailing Organization of America. NEMOA defines their mission as “Offering direct marketing merchants of all sizes, and the vendors that service them, an affordable network to SHARE knowledge, LEARN about industry trends and CONNECT with peers and experts in a non-selling environment.” Smith Hanley recruiters have been attending NEMOA conferences for over ten years and find them to be an excellent networking event for direct and digital marketers. Not only can one share ideas and bounce strategies off peers at other organizations, one can see and hear what the competition is doing!
This particular conference is focusing on better understanding our customers. “What if we knew how they thought, what motivated them, what triggered them to buy? What if we could crack the customer code?” Rachel will be attending two talks that she thinks will be of particular interest to attendees.
The first is a breakout session #2 in the Data & Operations track. Josh Boaz from Direct Agents will be talking about “Proven Intent-Based Customer Acquisition Tactics that capture moments of intent and connect with potential purchasers using intent-based customer acquisition tactics. He will teach you how to utilize programmatic display, social, and email in a performance-driven, omni-channel framework.”
Rachel also believes breakout session #3 in the Marketing Strategies track will be equally as interesting. Brett Blair from Monetate titles his talk, “Stop letting Your Customers Down! He says most companies believe personalization is valuable but wait for automated solutions to create 1-1 experiences. He will help you learn to leverage readily-available customer data to deliver the personal experiences customer’s have come to expect.”
